The Community Table
A 2021 YGP Intergenerational Changemaker Project

The mission of The Community Table, also known as La Mesa Comunitaria, is to build bridges between people in

our valley by providing meals, joy, resources, and a sense of community to those in need.

The Community Table was born out of a desire to re-introduce "Souper Suppers" in a pop-up fashion by a group of students from different high schools, a passionate teacher and a group of community leaders.  They have hosted 5 barbecues, serving 35-60 meals at each event. They have been supported by The Youth Generosity Project, Albertsons Market, Atkinsons Market, Power Engineers, The Community Library, Manny's Party Rentals, and Church of the Big Wood.  This Intergenerational Changemaker project is serving the Wood River Valley in amazing and inspiring ways and we are very excited to see how it grows!
